Did you know that you can ACTUALLY grow pineapples in your own home no matter where you live? It’s actually easier than you would think, all you need to start with is the crown of the pineapple. Since pineapple is a bromeliad, they can absorb water through their leaves and roots like common houseplants. To grow, take a pineapple stalk and pull the leaves off and let the stem completely dry. Plant the pineapple stalk and water it enough to keep it moist. As it grows over the months, continue to repot plant as it gets bigger and bigger, and in about a year you should have a big enough plant to move to a five-gallon container. Happy planting!
