While performing maintenance on your water heater, lower the heater’s thermostat. After a few hours, check the temperature by turning on the hot water. If you are satisfied with the temperature, leave it on the lower setting. This will save you energy and money! To hide an ugly and exposed water heater, use a shower curtain or faux cabinet enclosure so no one will see it.
