A TRENDS report showed growth in months where growth isn’t typical. The report was especially helpful because it showed specific areas where there is a lot of difference in weather types, giving HVAC companies that belong to HARDI a better idea of where the most growth can happen. The sales median for the month of August in 2017 was just over 4 percent, and for the year about double that. Because the economy is doing well, the expectation is that sales will continue to increase through 2018.
To keep your water heater in optimal shape for many years, it’s important to maintain it on a regular basis. Every six months, you should check the pressure valve and flush the tank. While performing maintenance on your water heater, lower the heater’s thermostat. After a few hours, check the temperature by turning on the hot water. If you are satisfied with the temperature, leave it on the lower setting. This will save you energy and money! To hide an ugly and exposed water heater, use a shower curtain or faux cabinet enclosure so no one will see it.

With winter rapidly approaching, some homeowners and business owners are purchasing space heaters to warm things up during the frigid months. A common question among potential users of space heaters is, are space heaters safe? It’s true that space heaters accounted for 40% of home heating fires from 2009-2013; however, they can be used safely if used and maintained properly. It’s critical to never use a space heater near flammable items or with a dirty chimney. Make sure the heater is placed on an even surface and never leave it unattended. Always follow the detailed operation instructions and keep children away from them in order to prevent burns or knocking it over.
There are two difficulties to overcome when building a hot water tank. On the one hand, the water must be stored hot enough to discourage bacteria growth in the tank. On the other hand, it must not be hot enough to scald a person turning on their hot water. Webstone solves this dilemma with their new water heater tempering valve. It allows the water to be stored at appropriate high temperatures without scalding any homeowner when they turn on the hot water.
