Eight of Ruskins’ severe-weather louvers are now TDI listed for protection from windblown debris in two Texas zones, the Inland I Zone and the Seaward Zone. The process for inclusion involves testing for wind loads as specified by the IRC/IBC. The louvers prevent and minimize wind and rain damage, with some models able to withstand 160 psf wind loads as well as 9-inch per hour rainfall. The first louvers approved by Miami-Dade County, Florida, these and all Ruskin louvers are backed by a limited five-year from delivery date warranty.
